The arena has room for about 65,000 people. The large shopping center "Mall of Scandinavia" is located next to the arena. The shopping area was inaugurated on 12 November 2015 and has space for approx. 250 shops on three floors.
History.
The arena was completed and opened on October 27, 2012. The facility must temporarily change its name in the event of a WC or EC play-off, or a Europa League or UEFA Champions League final match. All shops and restaurants must also close during these events unless they are participating and are an official sponsor. From July 12, 2024, the arena changes its name from Friends Arena to Strawberry Arena.
Openable roof
Strawberry Arena is allowed to host finals in European Championship play-offs and the UEFA Champions League as the arena meets the highest technical recommendations. The football field is 105 x 68 meters and the ceiling height is 33 meters. There is also an opening roof.
