Arlanda Airport is located about 4.2 km from Stockholm city center. Arlanda is Sweden's largest airport. On January 5, 1960, Arlanda was opened to traffic. On April 1, 1962, King Gustaf VI Adolf officially inaugurated Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.

Arlanda Express is the fastest way to get between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Stockholm. The journey takes 20 minutes and during peak hours the train departs every ten minutes.

Where can I find the Express Train: At Arlanda Airport there are two stations, with only a few hundred meters between them. Arlanda Norra serves Terminal 5 and Sky City, while Arlanda Södra serves Terminals 2, 3 and 4. You can travel for free between Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 with Arlanda Express - the journey takes just one minute. At Stockholm Central Station, the trains leave from tracks 1 and 2.

By bus from Arlanda you get an easy and cheap transport to Stockholm. Travel with Vy Flygbussarna from Stockholm to Arlanda. The journey takes about 45 minutes and the buses depart up to every 10 minutes in both directions. You have different bus companies to choose from on your trip Arlanda Airport - Stockholm Central Station. Airport buses to Arlanda depart from Gate 2 in Stockholm's City Terminal. You can also hop on in Liljeholmen or Brommaplan. Bus companies that run between Arlanda Airport and Arlanda include: Vy Flygbussarna (Airport Coaches), FlixBus and Vy Bus4You.
