The town hall is located at the far end of Kungsholmen by Mälaren on the old fire mill plot, Prime Minister Hjalmar Branting inaugurated the town hall in 1923 with a speech in the town hall. You can visit the City Hall, and agree to guided tour.
History
The town hall took 15 years to build and it was inaugurated in 1923. The house is built in red brick and has a tall tower with Sweden's three crowns on top. The house has several famous halls, the most famous are Among its most famous halls are the Blue Hall, the Golden Hall and the Prince's Gallery.
Tower
The town hall tower is 106 meters high. You can visit the City Hall tower during the summer and well up in the tower you get a lovely view over the city of Stockholm. You can take the elevator to the fifth floor or walk the 365 steps. On the fifth floor there is also a museum with models from the construction etc. At the top there is a Spire with three crowns. The spire's three gilded crowns are angled with their broad side towards Stockholm Palace. Their diameter is 2.2 meters each. The entire spire measures 8 meters in width. On the fifth floor is the tower museum.

Today, Stockholm Municipality's administration and management is based in City Hall. Stockholm's municipal council meets here and the city council works here.
Nobel Day/Nobelfest
During Nobel Day on December 10, people are celebrated for their efforts in literature, science and peace. The royal family is usually present and H.M. The king hands out Nobel prizes. Each laureate is awarded a gold medal, a diploma and a sum of money from the Nobel Foundation. After the award ceremony, a banquet is held in the Blue Hall, where the Swedish royal family attends as guests of honor. In the evening there will be a party - the Nobel party with dinner. 1,300 guests are invited to the Blue Hall each year.
